Privacy Policy for Roam: Day and Age™

Effective Date: 05/09/2025
Owner: Odonata Interactive LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”)

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to exercise your rights.

1. Information We Collect

A. First-party gameplay data (sent by the app to our servers/Google Sheets)

  • App-scoped Player ID (a random identifier generated by the app and stored locally—this is not your device’s hardware ID)

  • Gameplay events: campaign/daily level identifiers, number of attempts, outcome (win/skip), time to complete, highest level reached, app version, platform

  • Timestamps

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
We do not collect crash logs directly in the app.

B. Advertising/analytics data collected by third parties (Unity LevelPlay and its ad partners)

  • Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android)

  • Device/OS info, language, screen size

  • IP address and coarse location

  • Ad engagement and performance metrics; crash/diagnostic data as described by those providers

See Unity’s policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy

2. How We Use the Information

  • Provide and improve the app (e.g., balancing levels, bug diagnosis, anti-fraud)

  • Analytics (aggregate metrics about level completion, difficulty, retention)

  • Advertising via Unity LevelPlay (ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement)

Legal bases (EEA/UK):

  • Consent for personalized ads/third-party tracking.

  • Legitimate interests for app analytics, security, and non-personalized ads.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Unity LevelPlay and its ad network partners (for ads/measurement)

  • Service providers (e.g., Google for spreadsheet hosting) under confidentiality/processing terms
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or users.

Note: Our app-scoped Player ID and gameplay logs are not shared with ad partners and are not used for cross-app tracking.

4. Your Choices & Rights

  • Consent controls: In regions where required, the app shows a consent prompt for ads; you can change your choice at any time in the app settings.

  • Limit ad tracking:

    • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

    • Android: Settings → Google → Ads (Reset/Delete Advertising ID)

  • “Do Not Sell or Share” (U.S. state laws): We honor requests not to “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Use the in-app privacy controls or contact us.

  • Access / Deletion: We automatically delete raw gameplay logs older than 90 days. Aggregated/anonymized statistics may be retained. Requests regarding ad-network data should be directed to those providers (see Unity link above).

5. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS in transit, access controls, and restricted access to our Google Sheets. No method is 100% secure.

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate, with appropriate protections in place.

8. Data Retention

  • Gameplay logs (first-party): retained for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically.

  • Advertising/analytics data by third parties: governed by Unity/partners’ policies and retention schedules.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the “Effective Date” and, where required, notify you in-app.
